Tyler Kleinhuizen grew up in Forest Lake, Minnesota with his parents and older brother. Growing up, he loved football and track and field throwing events. Blessed with a very successful high school career, Tyler was recruited as a thrower to the Track and Field team at the University of Minnesota. He was part of five Big Ten Champion teams during his college career. Tyler has always had a passion for strength and conditioning, competing in not only track and field, but in multiple strongman competitions throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Earning a degree in Kinesiology, Tyler is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has had the blessing of the mentorship of some of the highest level coaches, trainers, and therapists worldwide. Growing up Evangelical Protestant, Tyler had been actively involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as well as other faith-based organizations throughout his high school and college careers; but, in the last 2 years of college Tyler was introduced to the Catholic Faith. He opened his heart to the workings of the Holy Spirit, and by the grace of God, came unto the fullness of the Faith at Easter Vigil in 2011. His relationship with Christ came alive in his experience in FCA, and after becoming Catholic, he discovered a need to provide an opportunity for Catholic athletes to grow in their Catholic Faith and virtue using training and athletics as the catalyst. He is ecstatic to see what God has in store for Cross Training and the Catholic athletes that are going to win the world for Christ.
Alexandra grew up as the oldest of seven kids in Oak Grove, MN. She played ice hockey all of her life, playing Division I hockey for the University of Minnesota Gophers for four years. Since college, she has worked with hundreds of aspiring athletes from young athletes to Olympic/Professional level in elite athletic performance training, sport performance training, and injury rehabilitation. Human performance is one of her biggest passions, but it does not come close to her passion and love for her Catholic Faith. Thanks to her amazing parents who helped form her faith foundation, she has spent her life growing in her knowledge of the Catholic Faith and her relationship with God; and, has found that the greatest witness we can give to our Faith is by the example we set to all we come into contact with us. Being blessed in playing hockey to such a high level and winning many championships was truly an amazing experience, but just like anything on this earth: the happiness is fleeting. She is ecstatic to forge human performance training and growing as children of God in order to find an everlasting joy in Christ. There will be nothing better than using human performance and athleticism to witness to the Glory of God, building up Christ's team, the Kingdom of God.
